Giving Back/Charity
In the spirit of benevolence, we have partnered with Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario®. We consider ourselves lucky to be in a position to contribute to an important organization that helps improves the lives of families in our community each day.
We give to this organization as part of a business, as individuals and as parents of young children ourselves. We invite you to donate to Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario to help a child and their family today. You may donate directly or via familyhub.ca, not a single dollar will be retained for administration purposes. We simply want to facilitate the giving-back process and encourage everyone to take action in helping others in your community.
Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario was founded in 1999 by Maureen McArthur. The Eastern Ontario chapter began as a volunteer run organization and to this day relies heavily on its volunteer base.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children ages 3-17 who have a life threatening medical condition. There are four types of wishes granted; I wish to go, I wish to be, I wish to have and I wish to meet. The most common of these is I wish to go, as many of the children want to experience Walt Disney® World and meet the princesses. Make-A-Wish is the largest wish granting organization in the world located in over 36 countries across 5 continents. Currently in Canada there are 7 chapters. The Eastern Ontario chapter covers west all the way to Belleville, north up to Peterborough, west along to the Quebec border and south down to Cornwall.
